Domaine de Maison Blanche

Beautifully situated on the hillside overlooking Lac Léman (Lake Geneva), la Maison Blanche (dating back to the 13th century) stands in the middle of its vineyard of the same name. Property of the de Mestral family since 1528, the original estate has grown today to around ten hectares, including rented locations.
The estate, apart from the Maison Blanche vineyard, also includes ‘the Clos du Couvent’, the ‘Clos de Germagny’, (property of the Bercher family, as well as ‘the Clos d’Aspre’ at Aubonne situated on family land in the town centre. It is the ‘lungs’ of the city.

The vineyard is run by Yves and Antoine de Mestral in a responsible manner, following the criteria of Vitiswiss and working towards a future without chemicals and in harmony with nature.

On the estate the Chasselas grape is king. A historic grape variety of the Lake Geneva region, it is made into all sorts of wines: « the Chasselas in all its forms »!

For around thirty years, Yves has planted other grape varieties whose wines are produced with equal passion. With most of their wines the de Mestrals favour aging, with the philosophy of selling accomplished wines which are ready to drink.
